from now, my posts will be less of narrating, more on what i think. yes, emo, whatever. still will have day to day accounts tho, dont worry.

before eoy, i was so looking forward to after it. after eoy, i feel so empty. every day there is nothing to do, just stoning at home doing random stuff. theres more time, but to do what? i feel brainwashed, as if school has made me think that life is just about work. Yet if i play the whole day, I feel like I just wasted a day, not doing anything productive. Maybe the best time is when there are no exams yet it is normal school. At least you have something to do that will make time pass quicker.

Sec 3 coming to an end really soon, and it has gone by really fast. I still remember last December holidays, coming back to school for GTC stuff and passing by the atrium with others from 01-2006. Then we saw the centralised notice boards with all the classes for everyone from our batch. Saw some names that I knew, some that I didn't; some that i liked, some that i disliked. Then it was OBS after that, still remember the long walk from our gear shed to the main area where most activities are. Also remember Seejay, or CJ, our facilitator. Details wise, forgotten already, but yet OBS didn't seem that far away.
And of course, scouting. What a big part of Sec 3, or any other year in RI for that matter. This year was the year of leadership, and I am quite glad the competition between patrols didnt affect our batch bonding that much. I am quite confident of saying that our batch is the most bonded of all, even possibly the j1s, despite their longer time together. Next year will bring that to an even greater height, and I am really looking forward to venturing. No more patrol stuffs, no more trying to get people to cooperate. We will be having acts within our batch, and I can imagine how fun that will be.
Leading Falcon this year has been a fun time, although now after EOY and the long break from scouting it seems that we didn't have much time together. Come to think of it, most of our members do not really like to stay around after act much. Sec 1s go home after saturday acts, missing out on patrol lunch. Sec 2s aren't there half the time. In the end, it is always the Sec 3s who eat together. Not sure if this is the case for the other patrols, but it isn't a good sign.

Now that EOYs are over, I have a lot off my mind, and a lot of time to think about stuff around me that is happening, think about myself, think about schooling, think about the future. Wouldn't it be fantastic if everyone is just like you, and you would be living around people who think exactly like you. No one would get on your nerves, no one would reject what you say. Life would be much more peaceful, albeit boring.
Reason I had that thought was maybe because I'm getting to feel something. I'm not sure if I have changed from the start of the year, but people seem to not like me. Not sure if it is something I did, or something I said, but I just have the feeling that people hate me. Have I become too arrogant? Too showoff maybe? I don't know, but I wish someone would tell me whats wrong. Hate it when people laugh, yet I don't know what they are laughing about. I hope that people will treat me the same as before, CCAL or not. I hope that that post won't make people change how they see me, for it is but a position.

Also had thoughts for venturing next year. I'm quite sure it will be a whole new and different experience, and I hope that I'll be used to "VU Sedia" soon enough rather than SU. For one, Mondays won't have activity as often for us. We will also be under VTL, rather than STL. We won't have SUTC, and AC. And most of all, we wouldn't have a patrol. Hopefully, getting used to all that wouldn't take too long, as venturing is only 1 year, and after that would be GC. Next year would be fairly challenging, first because it is 01's 75th anniversary (YAY!) and also because we have quite a bit of planning to do next year. Our meeting standards will need to be much higher, for anything productive to even be done each meeting. Fun is fun, but theres a time for work and play. I myself might have a problem staying focused, but I'll try. Most importantly is to remind each other, and we would all have a much easier time. While I am not in much a position to say it, having been in 01 for 3 years only now, but can see that the discipline standard is dropping, compared to when I was a Sec 1. Maybe something can be done about it next year, or even this year. SUTC wasn't good at all, so GTC better be excellent, or it will be hard to change the discipline in future.

That was quite a bit. Don't worry, I'm not emo. Just typing out what I feel. =)

re congress

yesterday re congress, boring as usual. this year had a slight change tho. first, its before eoy. boo for that. second, i have a booth. i wouldnt really say yay, its an extra responsibility. thankfully theres others to set it up =) my shift for the booth was the first one, when everyone else is in the hall listening to Dr William Tan, the one who made a record in 2005, before I was in RI. Thats really all that I know of him. Its good that my shift is then, which means I dont need to do anything at all hehe. After my shift, stayed in den till 11.40 before going to the hall for the sharing session. Expected turnout: 2 batches. Actual turnout: 1/2 batch. Cool. Cant say that its unexpected. After all it is RE Congress which actually spells "Day to Pon". Poor Cheryl Yap tho, for thinking that people really care about the booths. to be honest, people only care about the keychain.

After congress, stayed in den playing bridge till 2.45 for prometheum day rehearsal. its on tuesday, yay. get to pon 1 period of CHINESE. COOOOOOL. apparently the shield which jeremy will pass to me was given by Jin Fu's tuition teacher, Simon Eio. What a cool name. But such a coincidence that he was from RI and a teacher of 01. So the rehearsal was a waste of time, just hope i dont screw up on tuesday. Like turn at the wrong time, fall down, or drop the shield. That would be the worst thing to do.

Today was soo unproductive except for tonight. Morning played tennis, afternoon literally slept throughout, from like 2-7, which also means i did not go jogging. X_X il make it up tomorrow.

oh some good news, mugging is started and underway! gonna mug maths with amos tomorrow. haha surprising. i thought i wouldnt start until thursday or something like that. but still quite disappointed that i started so late. at least i started tho. the first step is the hardest to take.

after the whole of RLP

holy im not even going to defend myself for not blogging. im just lazy. lazy. had plenty of free time as its dmp but yea im just lazy =p

heres a list of things that has happened:
1. OIP Hue over (2nd to 14th September - http://www.oiphue2008.wordpress.com/)
2. RLP over
3. DMP (almost) over
4. spamming of carrom + spore + civ 4 + dota + whatever else

thats quite a bit, about 1 month since ive not updated. most significant thing that has happened is 1 and 2. RLP OVER! Good and bad news. Good news: im back home in the comfort of my lovely bed and computer. Bad news? No more waking up at the time when people are already at Raffles Square waiting for morning assembly and no more burning the midnight oil to la-, oops i meant study.
as a pioneer batch of RLP, it certainly went quite well. 6 weeks in total, 2 weeks overseas. fantastic time to bond with the other leaders in RI through living together, and i have met FAAAAANNNNTASTIC people. thanks for all the memories, and it was nice meeting new and amazing people. the boarding experience was also new, quite cool living around all the scholars and finding out the amazing talents they have (like in pool and piano. i do not mean swimming pool btw). and of course not forgetting the lanning sessions in shaun choo and chin jie's room every night since OIP ended.

OIP Hue 08. First oip trip of the year, amazing. Met so many new people from Vietnam, found out all the scandals of Sec 4s who went there last year, lived with Vietnamese and eating with them every day. walking to NTP, taking the coach, talking cock with the Vietnamese, hearing Bhargav's rubbish, storing photos on my laptop; i'll miss all these. thanks Thinh and family for being amazing hosts to me and choo. i'll never forget all of you. to find out more about what we did there, the blog would be useful. http://www.oiphue2008.wordpress.com/

woah DMP. first time and 2nd last time i would have this amazing 2 weeks of slacking and plenty of free time to spam carrom and pon morning assembly with all the scouts in den. going to den every day for the past week just to play carrom and i must say i have improved quite a fair bit. hopefully catch up to zunjie. well, maybe by next DMP. anyway i took only 3 modules, as we all needed minimum 42 hours, and RLP gave 18 hours. so my modules were: 1. Understanding theories through playing computer games (aka having fun and slacking) 2. Sports Injury and Management 3. Nutrition for Sports. haha no real mugging ones, all very slack. but i must say the history course is really good, people enjoy it as there are games, and the theories are also learnt much easily. i myself learnt quite a lot of theories, like marxism, economic virtualism, MAD etc. and of course the games: Spores, Civ 3 and Rise of Nations. Spore was a big fav due to being a very very new game, released early September. And now almost everyone i know plays it or wants to play it. hehe i myself have it, and i played till Space stage and didnt feel like continuing. Anyway for the other modules, the nutrition was quite interesting, learnt some stuff that would be relevant to my training. sports injury had a bit of relevance, but it was mostly meant for those in sports CCA as they had more injury, especially judo, right chin jie? tuesday, DMP will end and proper lesson will start again. BORING!

whats coming up next? EOYs of course. most people are mugging like siao now, im still enjoying myself and playing a lot. havent studied at all, believe me. played spore, civ 4, dota. civ 4 quite fun now that ive played it, wanna play again =p but i have the feeling of uselessness and zibei, when im not studying and EOYs in 2 weeks, everyone else studying. hate that feeling, but then again im soooo detached from school that i cant bring myself to study. have to wait till school starts proper. i know that its an excuse, but i need to believe in that so i wont feel so bad.

sorry for not having pics, dont feel like finding which to upload. have a good day!

shit mega long since i updated. ill start from where i left off

Week 6

wednesday went to Tanglin for RE, managed to pon Muster Parade once again. I just love Mrs Povil's timetable. Act was Mini Olympics Part 2, played soccer and frisbee, last for frisbee, soccer got we played until 3rd 4th placing then playoffs postponed cos not enough time.

saturday: went to meet tsui chuan from NAS for RE, then went to Tanglin to do the ropes and see the extension scouts, then went to MacRitchie for a recce. started at the northeast side, went all the way to the treetop walk, then went to Rifle Range Road. The walk itself was really foam, pretty tired and i was sweating like a pig as usual. Then the hike was to end for the extension scouts and rifle range road where a bus would pick them up, so for us we had to walk all the way out on saturday. Then we were very degen and wanted either a taxi/alvin's miracle/hiok's chauffeur-aka-mum. hiok's mum didnt know the place, so it was left with taxi and alvin's miracle. put them together, you get a taxi driving along the road out of nowhere. =) went to j8 and ate lunch then went home after that.

sunday: went out for lunch and also to get myself a new phone (yippeee). after lunch my mum went to shop for some stuff, then as we walking to a nearby building to get my phone, this lady approached us (me my dad and my mum) and asked us to do a quick survey. she said it would only take 5 minutes. sure enough, the survery was really quick, like 1 minute. after that she gave us 2 scratch cards and it was some lucky draw thing. my mum scratched hers, got a $50 takashimaya voucher. i scratched mine, got some grand prize thing. can either get $1000, $1000 off a vacation or $1000 worth camcorder. Cant choose what you want, its already preselt per card. so before you can find out which prize you get and before you can claim it, you have to *surprisesurprise* listen to a travel agency talk! HOORAY AND TO THINK WE WERE TOLD ONLY 5 MINUTES! went to that stupid place, listened to the person talk for like 2 hours even though they only told us it would last 75 minutes. it was about some package thing that will give a lot of discounts to future holidays. but the catch: it costs $35k for a lifetime signup. so we didnt want it, got our prize of $50 voucher and as you can guess, $1000 off a holiday. total waste of time, at least there was the $50.
went to get my phone next. Went to the m1 shop, found the Omnia, payed and all that, got it and went home. Played with it all the way back. went back at like 6+, too late for jogging so it got moved to tuesday once again.

Week 7
Monday: QM session, moved all the stuff from den to the storage area. cleaned the den, cleaned the stuff, then put everything inside the storage area, to be continued on wednesday.

Tuesday: assembly program was house meeting, watched ocean's 11 and talked with 2g people for most of it. nothing on after that, so went home early. days like this are good. but had to rush chinese website which was due on friday. went jogging, 8km

wednesday: RE didnt do much. act was QM session part 2. was supposed to be junior leadership, but a lot of people had match support so it was postponed and replaced with QM session. had a 1 hr group PT session, then QM session for 15 minutes and we were dismissed. went home, signed up for dmp, the thing screwed up a bit and i ended up with 60/42 hours. thanks. chionged chinese website until like 1.30am

thursday: after school went to look for bill tang to solve the DMP stuff. in the end i got 42 hours which includes 18 hours of RLP, so only got 24 hours of modules. 12 hours for history games, 12 hours for 2 PE modules, nutrition and injury. went to watch 881 after that, left once i completed the worksheet and the main story was over. didnt really get the story cos most of it was in hokkien. went to the library to do some chinese website stuff, then went home and chionged it all the way till 1.30am again.

friday: ndp celebration. what can i say, just the same stuffs as usual. songs, quiz, performance. ended at like 10, then i went home. did some stuff with my phone, like new applications and all that. then went to take a nap from like 1 to 6 to make up for the loss past few days. went to eat at botak jones then went home for the olympics opening.

rest of the week nothing much. had some virus in the comp cos i downloaded something wrong. watched a lot of olympics, took a lot of naps. went running yesterday, but stopped cos of stomachache. it really sucks to shit when you are all sweaty.

going to be at boarding in a few hours time. im gonna miss home a lot

saturday

one week since i last updated. quite a bit happened as usual. i have such a colourful life.

school was the same; boring. monday had racial harmony day celebration and all i remembered was ted waving his arms in the air and for a couple of days after that he keep getting suaned. then tuesday had free period for PE cos it got swapped with monday and we couldnt do PE at the 5th period and Mr Quek also wasnt in school. Wednesday's RE was a lecture at first then meeting Ms Goh after that. Continued with RE until like 5+ as we didnt have act cos of mini olympics on saturday. Felt quite enthu and upbeat about RE after wednesday, but sort of died down now. Going to meet Mrs Povil on Wednesday for RE (pon muster parade). Thursday didnt have anything special, did ropes and we finished it. Friday was really cool, 1 free period and went home straightttt after school ended. First time this year if im not wrong. yup i didnt go df. yup i didnt support morrison. yup i heard it sucked so i am happy i didnt go. sorry haozhi =D

saturday was a mega long day, out from 6.45am to 9.30pm. First we had mini olympics from 8-1. We reported at RJC track as the den was being renovated, and as you should have guessed, it was the track events first. Had a short PT session before that, with a short jog, short pull ups, short phantom chair, and short abs exercise. Events were: 100m, 200m, 400m were all to be ran by 1 sec 1,2 and 3 from each patrol. For 100m, Wesley (3rd), Kevin (1st) and I (3rd) ran. 200m, Haixiao (cant remember), Kevin (1st) and Tak Wei (cant remember). 400m, Haixiao (1st), Ming E (cant remember), Jack (1st doh). Then there was 4x100m, Tak Wei, Kevin, Wesley and I ran. We got 3rd, narrowly losing out to kingfisher even though their last runner ran first. Then for 800m, Ming E ran and got 2nd, losing to Sup. 1.6km was cancelled, so Ziwei and Jack ran 2.4km. Jack got 1st, while junjie got 0. jj timing was 9.53, jack was 9.51.

after that we had tennis/badminton. it was played like this: badminton in the hall, tennis in the court (what else). badminton had the doubles first (or single in Falcon's case) while tennis was singles first. For tennis it was split into East and West, and the 3 patrols in each team play against each other first. Then, there was the 3 matches for 1-2, 3-4, 5-6 placing. Singles I played for Falcon. Up against Sup first, lost. Then straightaway next game up against Eashwar, lost. So that meant we were either 5 or 6. Went to the hall to have a look, Tak Wei and Daryl were playing for 1st and 2nd placing against KF. Actually it was just Tak Wei solo-ing the whole thing, and he won. Then went back to play 5-6 placing, and won Kestrel cos they didnt know how to play at all. Right after that game was the doubles, Jack joined me. Same thing happened, lost to both owl and kf again. and won kestrel again for 5th place. for badminton singles we got 4th, tak wei losing to alvin. so overall for tennis and badminton was: 5th, 5th, 4th, 1st

by now it was 12.20, and the RLP briefing was over already. o well missed it, nothing much anyway. then we had basketball. same 2 team concept, just that our team was now Kestrel, Hawk and Falcon. Other side was Eagle, Owl and KF. So first match was F vs K, we won. Then K vs H, H won. Then H vs F, we lost. Hiok/Hawk just too imba, with edmund and his spasm movements that scared everyone away.

then for finals it was hawk vs owl. guess the results....

hawk got first...runners up. even though hawk had imba teamwork, sup was just too imba. 2 consecutive goals, and 1 3 pointer. sup dam funny when he play, see edmund then very scared and dribble the ball away. but ya owl deserved to win. oh ya btw they had 5 people for the whole mini olympics. imagine the track events lol.

after mini olympics, went to kfc and dabao shrooms burger meal with cheese fries, then went to watch Dark Knight with Fancis and Zhong Jun, 2-4.40. Quite sad only 3 people, all the rest were influenced by Alvin and watched already. quite a nice show, joker dam funny/cruel. wanna know how he got his scars? watch the movie then!

after the movie we went around looking for the shop that sells PE attire, then i bought a pants. <3 the pockets. then went to HQ to get a woggle, and took 55 to my cousin's house. was the 2nd death anniversary of their grandmother, went to pay respect. stayed there from 6-9+ then went home after that. the fake house was super big, and super ex, like 10k for a house that was going to get burnt. overall the whole thing costs like 30k. why give the 30k only when shes dead, not when she was still alive?

sunday didnt go jogging, legs were aching from mini olympics. today was sian, school was boring and there was the chinese CCT which i think i will do badly again. just hope i wont fail, again. act was also boring, Patrol Meeting. They should just rename it to SU Sailmakers' Whipping; everyone was just spamming that. Went home after that.

Tomorrow will have Chem OBA, think it will be as difficult as the previous one. Gonna jog tmr, to make up for sunday's slack.

10km run

just did the longest run ever done, around 10km in 1:08:32. Never stopped at all in that 1 hour and 8 minutes, very proud of myself for even completing it. Although im still 8 and a half minutes off my goal time, pretty sure i can make it with 5 more weeks to train. oh ya and my shirt and pants were totally wet. normally the shirt and the back of my pants will be totally soaked, but today the back and front of my pants were wet as well, then looked like i peed on it so whenever i run past anyone i sprint so they cannot see it =D

today had the first aid thing for the special olympics event. reached school at about 7.20 and lala-ed with zhongjun all the way till 12.30. for most part of it we just sat at the canteen and i spammed knots while zhongjun spammed gameboy/knots. i was mugging for tomorrow's test taking, quite sure i will pass after spending like 4 hours doing knots. did not have much people come to us for first aid, just 2 people. 1 had a cut which zhongjun treated, and the other had a cramp and i had to massage for him. pretty sick but, o well.

exactly 5 more weeks to go, and in about 2 weeks ill be in boarding i think. wonder how it will be like there.

NYAA

today was nyaa and here are some things for recording purposes

duration: 3.30-5.00
attendance: kenneth, alvin, anurak, suphasak, zhong jun, joel, amos
things done: started with doing 3 sets with 10 pullups, 30 pushups, 20 situps then moved on to 40 ipu, 50, then 60. this part was called phoenix pt, cos we are meant to die after doing it or something like that. the real phoenix pt is something like 10 sets of the earlier thing, then 40 ipu, 50, 60, 50, 40, 30, 20, 10. something like that, also not too sure. this was the canoe PT session, of course without stuff like running and sphinx. then after that did A SHORT PART of rugby training, henny millers or something. what we did was run the length of the field, then diagonal, then length, then diagonal back to the start point in 2 minutes. the full thing is 2 sets of 27 minutes of something like that. i think we would be doing 1 set of the full thing next session, which should be next saturday. im dreading it =s

then after that got 02 campfire. wasnt even a campfire just a performance. i would say performance by 02 scouts, cos more than half of the performances were by other people. to all the 02 folks reading this, sorry but it was a real failure campfire. i dont think its meant to be a campfire anyway, so you guys should be ok with me saying this, right? timeline was something like this:
1. opening of campfire by DHM Mr Kenneth Kwok
2. introduction to the storyline about a time machine called iMagine
3. suan jack about something
4. performance
5. suan jack about something else
6. performance
7. suan jack about yet another thing
8. engrossed with chu yong's performance and slept at 02's hiphop dance
9. you can guess this part
10. clap when it was over
11. refreshments!
12. go home

and then after that jeremy once again needed me to call people. lazy to call and waste more money, so smsed instead. something about a carnival on sunday from 6.30 to 12 which needed first aid ready people on standby for some emergency or something. needed 6 people. supposed to tell him by tonight the names, but right now only can confirm 2. o well i dont want to go as well la 6.30...

o yea and i got my running gear! some reaaaallly short pants that shows my fat and fair thighs and shirt that looks nice and feels nice. gonna run tomorrow morning =) i cant wait

after first class/avsw

as i promised, hike log is over and here is an update of everything since last weekend.
5th to 6th was first class, and in case you still didnt know, my patrol was zhongjun, yiming, raga and me. there were 5 patrols in all, next was francis, tak wei, kai jun and ming e followed by anurak ruiliang amos minglun then sup yenter jon ed edmund and last patrol is alvin sherman rong jun and luchen. first day was quite killer, around 36km. i was expecting to get blisters/abrasion, so i put plaster at my thigh area and powder in my socks. the plaster came out a few hours after the start of the hike, most probably due to my sweat. So in the end i still got abrasions, but not as bad as last year's first class. The powder in the socks were amazing and i only had one blister and the heel of my left foot. now i know how to prevent blister, next is to prevent abrasions totally. im thinking of getting skins, but its too expensive, although it will help in running as well. first day was really degen, first was tampines road, then was some mega long 10km south from one checkpoint to the next. anyway the rough area walked was like this:

pasir ris>tampines>kovan>ang mo kio>yio chu kang>bishan>kallang>katong>east coast park
in the end, we reached the night point 3 hours late, but at least we had the maps well drawn and the description written.
day 2 was not as bad. we rushed the first checkpoint, like 4.5km in 1 hour. Next few were slower than the first, but faster than day 1. reached the endpoint on time, but still the last patrol to reach. at least we completed the whole hike.

hike log was rushed as usual, 1 week to do it on top of AVSW games booth. monday was for rest, so didnt do log. tuesday was for games booth, wednesday for 01 cup, thursday for games booth, friday for games booth and hike log, saturday was gone, sunday was rest, monday was chiong all the way. yesterday was totally for hike log.
woke up early in the morning, printed everything i could, did some checkpoint maps, went to school to meet zhongjun and yiming. then chiong all the way, although our effeciency at the start was as low as flo rida. we were rushing all the way, even buying back lunch to eat. then the last few hours totally rushed like mad, and last 1 hour was frantic. actually i had thought we had already done most of the maps, but turns out the route map were mostly not coloured/labelled. and the checkpoint maps had a few missing that i did not know how to draw, like the scout HQ, start point and night point. anyway we completed the log at about 5pm, late by half an hour already. then went to bind it as well as print the reflections, and waited for 1 hour for some guy to finish using the computer as we had to print some reflections. so ended up putting the log in
dropoff point. have a feeling we going to get pumped cos no one handed in on time. but i think our hike log quite zhai, maps all very nice and we got the nice cover page thanks to zhongjun's imba drawing skills. hope we dont have to redo.
last wednesday was 01 cup, some ripoff activity from last year. almost exactly the same, even the stations. basically the idea was that there were station games - frisbee, soccer, dodgeball, sudoku, word search and charades. play against another patrol in that station, then move on to the next station. pretty ripoff but i guess it was fun, especially the charades. surprisingly we did not get owned as much as we usually do for sports type activity.
friday was very busy although there was no school. in the morning was hike log, then went to lunch and go to tanglin APSN to meet mrs povil for RE. then came back and rushed the games board that were not complete yet. then went to pathlight for the stayover, and helped out here and there. after we could go to sleep, we went back to the attic where we were to sleep and we just lala there. some played cards, some worked on the board, some pokemon with zhongjun's comp. at first i did the board, then at 1am i went to sleep, i think im the first one to sleep. it was so noisy in the room i had to sleep while listening to music. then woke up at 4.30am on saturday to help out. then at 7 went to our hub, which was at the courtyard at a hawker center near pathlight. no idea why we went there so early as we just stoned there for 1 hour+ before the first few walkers came. anyway it was quite funny, all the scouts at my hub (yan wei, wee kien, me, sup, jon ed, vj, yiming) were sitting down on the bench, while the red cross from chong boon were like perma senang diri. the npcc from chong boon were just standing around, and when we asked them go and sit they said they would get punished if they were seen slacking. so in the end scouts just hogged all the sits.
finally when the walkers came, it was really quite a sight. all of them were carrying balloons, with the other party items from previous hub. we were the last hub (5) so they just had to collect the last item, a face mask, from us. the walkers came in waves, most probably because of traffic lights along the way. but the walk was really effective in raising awareness cos it was just so easy to see this big group of people walking with balloons and all that. anyway saw the GOH, ms eunice olsen, MP. she was quite tall, and her hair made her about 1m taller or something.
after all the walkers came and went back to pathlight, we packed up and went back too. on the way back saw a balloon in the HDB void deck. so sup tried to jump and get it down, but couldnt reach, so he stepped on my thigh, then jumped up and got it. then when we were near pathlight, shi de somehow let it go. =(
back at pathlight, it was reallllly crowded. the carnival atmosphere was really there, and it was quite amazing how big scale this project really is. went back to our games stall, and it was quite a good business, however the dunking one totally owned everything else. got some free coupons from jeremy, and spent it all on the various stalls throughout the day. anyway the top prize for our stall was some imba big remote control car, and to win it one must complete our hardest level within 20 seconds. apparently some guy spammed our stall and managed to win that along with hell lot of other prizes. could see that they really wanted the car.
however, the best part of the whole event was the dunking. the 01 scouts who were dunked were (in order): zhi, hiok, francis, me, sup, anurak. as his msn nick says "Dunking j1s makes supernormal profits". i think he earned about $50+ for the stall as all the 01 scouts just keep spamming him. i was kind enough not to dunk him. hiok did not earn as much, as most people were already broke by then. i tried to dunk him once, but missed it totally. then francis turn, and i managed to get him with a tennis ball on my first shot. hehe. when it was finally my turn, there were not many people left. then zhongjun dunked me twice out of the five times i got dunked...must be hating me cos of the hike log. was the first time i got dunked, and quite a nice experience.
at about 1pm went around to spend my coupons, ate a bit here and there, then went back to the attic to sleep. slept about 1 hour, 2-3 before it was clearup time. nothing much to talk about for clearup, just the usual stuff of being a man. then wenjun and i played mercy and he totally owned me lol. anyway, heres the link for AVSW: http://www.autism.org.sg/avsw08/
oh and im in RLP =D
well thats quite a bit to read, have fun
ps. should i change blogskin? its a bit hard to read with the current one, i realised.

week 1 + 2

ok so sorry for neglecting, ive been busy. this post will be a short one, ill TRY to get a detailed one when i have the time. or when i can be bothered. dont expect it anytime soon tho, theres hike log to do after first class.

ok week 1 went through quite well, managed to hand in most stuff on time. Got new maths and chem teacher, both of whom im very happy with so yay! although the maths teacher looks a bit like bishan gay/adi and talks like jlim. O well at least he can teach well and control the class. Patrol fun on monday wasnt really fun, just slacked around, played basketball, waste time, go home. wednesday was very cool, no scouts cos of NSW. however, had to chiong prehike log, which was due on friday. the whole week was pretty much occupied by prehike log. in school, after school, at night was all about prehike log. and yet we all still had to redo it. friday there was no school due to staff training, but we had batch meeting for AVSW games booth. Plan to do the aMaze game on iPhone, but going to be quite hard to construct. after the meeting went to register for SBR for me, zhi and haliim. those 2 dam cunning la ask me register for them while they go enjoy with their class cos exam over. haiz people these days...weekends were spent lalaing, didnt do much but play. =D sorry for not updating then, not in the mood. played some dota, some lotr, yea it was fun times. cant wait for lotr again lol

monday this week was patrol (not) fun again. Had a prehike log talk for 1 hour so we reached act at 4.30. just discussed a bit about NPC, talk cock, then dismissed them liao. really waste of time la also not sure what the sec 1s and 2s want to do. then today we had poetry slam, quite interesting this year, better than last year i find. well there was this guy with the canadian accent...=)

this weekend will be tough. hope i can survive till week 4 which is a break after the hike + hike log. at least week 3 has monday and friday off, but that means no PE until week 5, which by then will be NAPFA retest. aww man im gonna miss volleyball.

look forward to an update around week 3 weekends. the weekdays will be spent chionging hike log. poor us

mummy, its overrrrrrrr

yup thats from just for laugh, and yup, holidays are ending. so soon and its already the last week of holidays, before its back to school for me and you. and i have been neglecting the blog, wont bother defending myself saying ive been busy, just plain laziness. also nothing really THAT interesting for the past week.

was supposed to go hiok's house last wednesday for RE, but had fever on tuesday so couldn't go. awww/yay
then the 3 of them did since sup was in thailand. quite sad couldnt go to his house and get lost in it, then maybe shouting HIOK in the middle and maybe having 3 people reply. na of course not, i wont do that. so the fever continued until thursday, but the diarrhoea stayed till sunday. and sadly we had lan/campfire on friday...i still went =D at first my mum told me i couldnt go on thursday cos i needed to rest, but managed to convince her on friday morning, sort of a compromise. i was to come back at 4.30, which means no campfire. oh well at least i went for the lan. there were 7 of us, played a total of 2 dota and CS after that, before i left. so sorry couldn't make it for campfire, if i did you guys would have had 15 people and this would be the SU's first campfire. its really quite sad that the sec 2s and 1s are so inactive and refuse to go for the campfire. Like st nick's campfire only 4 sec 2s and 1s went, the other 10 were all sec 3s. If we didn't go, they would be really quite miserable. There would be another campfire coming saturday, wonder how will the turnout be like. After all thats the 2nd last day of holidays, pretty sure no one would want to go with all the homework left to chiong.

yesterday had briefing for first class exploration test, so had to wake up early. went to the den, then proceeded to senior block for the briefing. it was pretty standard stuff that was already told at the CCA briefing previously, so it was quite boring. Anyway my partner is zhongjun, so i think our patrol name would be something like sweat patrol maybe. Or tsunami. As for companion wise havent confirmed yet, might be yi ming or ming e. first class is on 5-6 july, vcet is 1 week before that i think. not so sure if i wanna go for vcet now...not even sure if i want to go even without first class. theres still the prehike log to submit by 26th june, which is next thursday, so we all have another homework added. the briefing ended 1 hr earlier at 11, went to have batch lunch at j8 food court. Stoned there for quite a while then i went home, the rest went for lan. Didn't go cause my grandfather was supposed to get discharged and go to my house to stay for about 1 week so that there would be people to take care of him. In the end he wanted to stay for one more day, so today he would be coming.

and tmr there would be qm session. oh man qm sessions generally suck but its quite fun when you are incharge of washing the tents as it would just mean lala in the toilet and get totally wet.

week 1 over

first week of holidays gone already. quite sad la only 3 more weeks and i havent done any work. dont think ill do any until week 4.

went jogging today, 8km route. quite happy my timing dropped my 4 mins, maybe its cos of the new asics shoes i got.
asics gel nimbus 9, voted shoe of the year 2007. got it at queensway yesterday for $182 after discount. was contemplating between this shoe and adidas supernova cushion 7, both superb shoes. This one the cushion is thick as the mango sago for day 3 lunch. with it i feel like im a few cm taller. for the jog i was the pacer for my dad and bro, and i think it was too fast for my dad so he lagged quite a bit. then after a while it was just me and my bro but he run shorter route than me. i was jogging with music then i think my sweat caused the earphone to short circuit or something...i know i sweat a lot but imsure so much la its like the music quality suddenly plummet or something. had to make do the last 3km or so without music, not sure if it affected my speed tho. Now that its holidays got more time to go jogging le, so hope to improve my timing to below 40 by end of hols, and also extend the route to 10km for the bay run.
anyway the AC post might take a while, since its sort of a plog. ill take my time to finish it over the hols, but i hope it will be done by wednesday if i got enough willpower to dedicate 1 hour to it. Im not a robot tho, so doubt ill ever be able to do that.
and to those of you who expect this blog to be funny, sorry to disappoint you but im not like yee. somehow he is equally retarded online and erm, offline? r(yee)tard

ac is over at long last

5 long days, 5 days in the sun/rain/star/kitchen tent/class room, 5 days with my patrol and 5 days with 01. ac as a pl is much different; rather than pure pioneering or pure cooking, pl now means more of coordinating, which i think i have done well in, and helping out with whatever possible.

now for a day to day recap to help with plog.
day 1
went there in the morning in my uncle's car cos he works near there and he goes to work early, so quite song to be able to hitch a free ride. dont have to worry about mrt or bus or whatever and can wake up earlier. went there and most of the patrol was there and they all brought their forms. a good start to a better end. then it started to rain, somehow it was telling us that this camp was going to rain quite a bit, and i guess it did. stls briefed us a bit on the camp rules and after attendance taking and forms collection. jon ang and jia jing didnt come. sian... dunno whats wrong with the 2 of them. ok jiajing was sick so i dont mind but jon ang is pure pon la. but main point is kevin came =) flag raising was done by anurak and we changed to PE after that and started with tent pitching. sec 1s and 2s did the sleeping tent, while sec 3s helped each other with kitchen tent. the ground there was as hard as iron (not steel) and the pegs all super hard to go in, esp the sleeping tent since you cant mallet that. sec 3s from owl falcon kf did kitchen tent for kf first then falcon followed by owl. ours took horrendously long to get it up and it was dam low standard of pitching. we would suffer on day 2. then continued with campsite establishment. jack and kevin tied the shoerack, ming e the table, all the rest except for me dresser. i was everywhere. falcon was exceptionally fast, shoe rack was done first and it was very stable and could accomodate all our shoes. then jack and kevin went to tie the trestle for our gateway while the rest continued. by 1.30 we had completed 1 trestle, shoe rack, dresser, table top. we were going like a train and could not be stopped by anything other than lunch. campsite establishment continued throughout the afternoon until dinner time. by day 1 we had done about half our gateway, table, dresser, dustbin, shoe rack, stove rack and clothesline. lunch and dinner was packed, yumyum.
one section dedicated to our table. one part of the table top was weaved using ropes and we can throw any random stuff we have there. the other part of the table was covered with our board and we could move the board so we can cover the "pouch" of our table so it was like a secret compartment. anyway our table was really unstable and it was suppper low. Even lower than ming lun's voice, so you can sort of imagine. the table top was not stable so i added 4 jammers made of teko to the 4 corners of the table top so the teko could hold the weight of the table to prevent it from moving all about. once the jammers were in place the table could hold a lot of weight and it was very nice to sit on as it was convenient. i sort of miss the table and esp the pouch now that its gone. o well

The first night activity was iron lungs, singsong session. j1s taught us some of the less common songs we sing and some were really quite cute and funny. the one i like most is the second story window. singing it to the lyrics of jack and jill, its somthing like:

jack and jill went up the hill to fetch a pail of water
jack fell down and broke his crown and jill threw him out of the window
the window, the window, the second story window
with a heave and a ho and a mighty big blow
they threw him out of the window

for humpty dumpty:
humpty dumpty sat on the wall
humpty dumpty had a great fall
all the kings horses and all the kings men
they threw him out of the window
the window, the window, the second story window
with a heave and a ho and a mighty big blow
they threw him out of the window

for our own originial one:
when stamford raffles held the torch and cast prometheum flame
we faced the challenge of the day and threw him out of the window
the window, the window, the second story window
with a heave and a ho and a mighty big blow
they threw him out of the window

another song that was funny goes something like this:
leader: why we cant go the heaven
follower: (repeat)
leader: with suphasak
follower: (repeat)
leader: cos suphasak
follower: (repeat)
leader: likes anurak
follower: (repeat)
all: why we cant go the heaven with suphasak cos suphasak likes anurak
the oher part of the song not as impt as the first part. heres other examples

leader: why we cant go the heaven
follower: (repeat)
leader: with joel foo
follower: (repeat)
leader: cos joel foo
follower: (repeat)
leader: likes anurak too
follower: (repeat)
all: why we cant go to heaven with joel foo cos joel foo likes anurak too

leader: why we cant go the heaven
follower: (repeat)
leader: with kenneth kuan
follower: (repeat)
leader: cos kenneth kuan
follower: (repeat)
leader: his hair dam luan
follower: (repeat)
all: why we cant go to heaven with kenneth kuan cos kenneth kuan his hair dam luan

suan myself. anyway tony came up with a lot but its all dam no link and no rhyme. and his body kept spasming and it was sooo funny.

after songs we had the game of liFE. lame right the j1s. main gist of it was to get across the play area by accomplishing tasks and moving forward with each correct task. only thing i remember was that the non physical tasks were dam hard to do hence what we did mainly was physical but it was also quite crazy, like 100 crunches per person. after game of liFE we went back to the classroom and saw the photo slideshow of kestrel and eagle, both dam funny esp eagle. thinker lead-er pioneer

and to end off day 1, PLs had our first FEAR session, aka backstabbing. for the 1st hour we cocked quite a bit, a lot of suanning and funny stuff from sup. then we finally got to the backstabbing in which i chose ________. Its for me to know and for you to find out.

day 2
had breakfast then flag raising, done by hiok since francis did flag lowering on day 1. day started with carom challenge (iron finger). first was stations and different stations had different tasks. some tasks include backshot the striker as many times in 30 seconds, center slice as many times in 30 seconds, put seeds on your elbow and catch them, shoot off the bottom seed in a stack of 10 seeds without dropping the pile, aeroplane a seed in the hole as many times in 30 seconds and get a seed in during the first shot with the seeds properly arranged in the starting position. falcon got owned quite a bit here. after the stations we had a carom game in the parade square. 3 games were ongoing at the same time, and we were fighting eagle. every member had to run to the board in the middle and take 3 consecutive shots. they have to do a task, like pushups etc, halfway while running to the board before they can continue. falcon got 3rd for this, and it was thanks to 2 lucky backshot by takwei. good job tak!

after part 1 of carom challenge, we had iron chef or rather cooking race. first there was a quiz section. Choose a question, answer it and you get to throw some oi (01 actually) points at other patrols. the patrol with the most points had a forfeit for the cooking itself. in the end our handicap was no communication between members. its really dam hard to follow this rule la and i admit we didnt follow it. the food itself was good, as tak wei and wesley were the cooks and they were dam imba. we got 1st for this meal.

AnNuAL rAIn PaRt 1
right when we were eating the annual rain came. had to shift in the poles to the kitchen tent, and we lala-ed in the kitchen tent. thankfully we had our food from lunch still in the kitchen tent, and ming e and i kept lubbing the corn which was dam nice. we had to constantly use our poles to poke the kitchen tent to prevent water from collectng. everyone from falcon got dam wet except for daryl who was standing in the middle of the tent and poking from there. our sleeping tent was quite dry due to the fact that it was only bought this year and used a couple of times only. the kitchen tent gg-ed a few times due to the lousy pegging we did but ours was not as bad as owls'. the kitchen tent somewhat collapsed and many of their things gg-ed, including their table. when the rain was not as bad i went around and just lala in the rain, and also koped hawk's food which they cooked while it was still raining. The ikan bilis dam nice after it was cooked.

dinner was packed cos j1s didnt want to gg us too much as it was really quite degen to cook when half your stuff was wet. night activity was skill o rama. this year it was split to categories like brain uice, balance, card tricks, ball tricks, things your body can do, scout skills and misc. to sum up falcon got owned compared to last year cos i can only do 3 tricks due to the limit they set. but no one could challange my 3 card tricks muahaha im imba. hiok totally owned for hawk in the ball tricks and things your body could do. in the end hawk won skill o rama. first thing they won this year i think. some interesting skills were: ongnardo's mind challenge copied by zhi, weijie's card throwing-paper slicing skill, soham's ball throwing (hand spasm) skill, some skill in balance that required participants to spin around a pole 20 times and walk in a straightline (you can just imagine...) etc. Many more which i forgot la but skill o rama was always fun.

FEAR that night was not so much cock and more on serious stuff to get it over with. This time i backstabbed ______. once again for me to know and for you to find out.

day 2 we didnt accomplish much and our lead in the first day was lost in day 2. Gateway was almost complete and all the gadget was done. our clothesline was just a pole attached to the kitchen tent verticals and to hang the scout u, we tied loops around the pole so that there was some place for the hanger to hook on.

day 3
started the day with X country. Somehow the j1s are suanning singapore small, as cross country was only 3.1km yet it was supposed to be across the country...haliim briefed us on the routes and safety precautions and all that and then we proceeded to the start point which, quoting haliim, was "a field just outside the school". When we reached there we gathered next to the pavement in a clearing. Nice field. Proceeded on with the run being first 10, with a few people chionging forward. I think my pace was too fast at the start which led to me not showing me full potential and winning jack muahahaha. just kidding. jack was reaalllyyy fast like as fast as Haile Gebrselassie. his imba running speed, coupled with the good positions of the sec 1s, allowed us to get 1st for cross country, which i jokered knowing we had a good chance of getting 1st. the positions for cross country are as follows:

sec 1: 3 - Wesley, 3 - Haixiao, 6 - Daryl, 9 - Ziwei
sec 2: 5 - Ming E, 15 - Kevin
Sec 3: 1 - Jack, 7 - Me, 11 - Tak Wei

For our batch:
1 - Jack
2 - Amos
3 - Joel
4 - Sup
5 - Zhong Jun
6 - Francis
7 - Me
Anything onwards i dont really know

After x country was breakfast which the j1s provided. just the usual bread with spread which spread among the different patrols. Somehow eating so much bread reminded me of the fun times of gtc 06 where a particular j1 enjoyed the bread so much he went bonkers after that day with my patrol. I still remember hooking the plastic bag with 6 loafs of bread onto my carabiner and hugging it while hiking. =) happy times

for lunch we had to cook, and i jokered it. The usual people were cooking, while the rest of us were working on the gateway mainly, while also tidying up the campsite. Kevin and Jack added the quadrupod to the front of the trestle and Ming E made it into a shelter by tying groundsheets/ponchos to it. The place was quite cool, like a shelter of some sort. Can lie in it and ur head will just nice be at the position where there is a hole to look outside. If anyone can visualise that go give yourself a cookie and a pat on the back. We also installed a door that can open with a bit of force but looks rather ugly but at least it worked. This one cant really explain to you, gotta see it for yourself. Our gateway really quite cmi actually, when you compare it to other patrol's, especially kf's which was dammm fun to play with. Theirs was a tripod tower which had a seating platform at the top made by putting a board on it. Climbing to the top made me feel tall.
as for our campsite, our dustbin was changed. Previously it was the teko opened up at the bottom, tied to the kitchen tent verticals. Now its the same teko, closed, and pegged into the ground with a mallet. It stands even under extreme pressure like my weight, so i guess its really good.
by the time lunch was done, it started to rain again, hence we brought the cooked food to the canteen. bad move, as it meant easier koping from the other patrols as our food was just too manly. our staple was fried rice, rice with egg + luncheon meat. meat was shrimp paste chicken, veg was some imba veg that was tasty, dessert was mango sago. this meal is without a doubt the best i have ever eaten in a camp throughout my 3 years in 01. the fried rice was soft and tasty, although it was cold due to it being cooked too early. The degree of nice for the meat is self explanatory as it was to be cooked in parents night. The veg looks ordinary but has a lot of taste. The dessert is the best. Sweet, warm, sweet, fantastic, sweet. Somehow i have a feeling I will have diabetes at an early age due to this dessert. in the end, we got 1st for this meal and the 2nd joker which we have won.

After the meal we washed up which wasnt so enjoyable due to the shrimp paste from the chicken...it was as oily as francis's face and no matter how much detergent we used it wont go away. Somehow they managed to clean it la and next activity was sports (Fe)iesta. Geddit? Fe - Iron. Oh harhar the j1s are so farni harhar *pokestomach* 1st game was frisbee against KF. Quite fun to play, not fun to get trashed, totally uncool when Ming E learns from francis and stone. Oh well they attacked too much and no one was really marking the person at the line so in the end the score was something like 2-8. Quite sad la to get trashed like this. Then after that it began to rain, again.

AnNuAL rAIn PaRt 2!
we all went back to the kitchen tents for fear of it being gg-ed again. This time the rain wasnt as hiong as part 1, but still it was enough to get us walking around poking the kitchen tent. Quite happy that it rained tho, as it meant that we had enough time to recuperate from our horrifying loss against kf. Then raga found a tennis ball at kf kitchen tent (cmon which ventures were playing tennis, come clean) and soon kf and falcon started playing softball. Soon owl joined in the fun and we just kept throwing the ball to each other's kitchen tent. Actually tbh it wasnt the 3 patrols la, more like a few people from the patrols. Raga from kf, minge and takwei from falcon, lionel from owl. Then the nubcakehero got super wet and decided to get even more wet. Whenever the water collected and was about to get pushed off, he would stand under and get wet. Retarded right? Managed to get a few pics of this, its currently in his camera.
And it was during part 2 that i realised how cunning jack was. Siao li cang dao...when either tak or minge went out to get the ball and was coming back, jack would lift up part of the kitchen tent where the water was collected and the water would splash on them. he dammmmm cunning still act innocent after that. cunning little jack as cunning as the j1s, he's learning fast.

By the time part 2 ended, it was like 4pm. Horseshoe was blown at the canteen and the j1s were like,"I know its pretty late already, and you all dont feel like cooking..." while Alvin next to me was like,"Ya so...continue leh so...", hoping that we did not have to cook. But in the end the j1s thwarted god's plans and asked for 2 people per patrol to go marketing. I was hesitating as whether or not to send takwei, cos soccer was next and if takwei was gone=falcon ggxx. But in the end takwei and wesley still went, and as predicted, falcon ggxx for soccer. So we continued with the (Fe)iesta, soccer vs owl. Guess who would win? Actually no need to guess la. Sup and lionel were just too imba even for the ball magnet haixiao. I managed to score 1 tho =) The soccer match was something like that:
1) Sup gets the ball
2a) He dribbles a bit
2b) Joel drools a bit
3) Sup pass to lionel
4) Lionel shoots the ball from halfway line*
5) Falcon foams
*Note - halfway line means 10m away from goalpost.
Yup, so you get the idea. Moving on, it was basketball against yeeagleong, or eagle for short. So extra, like kestrel ad astra per aspera or something like that. This game we didnt exactly ggxx, but still counted as ggxx. End score was something like 4-6, with eagle winning. Unexpected? Not really. But i think we did quite well for basketball la, like haixiao dam hiong keep whacking the ball from their hands, and chionging for the ball, even though the floor was wet which resulted in him falling a few times. and jack was too tall for eagle. They throw a ball, he jump and whack the ball as if it was *insert-jack's-most-hated-person-name* face. Then i would get the ball, dribble all the way and using my skillful magic, slide through amos only to find myself outside the court, or a bit behind the board. Then i would attempt a failed shot and eagle get the ball, pass to one of the sec 1 and its a goal for eagle. Honestly their sec 1s dam imba at basketball, like shoot from halfcourt also can score.

By the time (Fe)iesta ended, the marketing people were back le. Somehow falcon always the fastest back from marketing, must be cos of takwei's walkfast aura. I did not really have an idea of what they were cooking, but it was meant to be exotic so it wasnt going to be very pleasant. I was in the tent and heard some hysterical laughter from the kitchen tent. Sounded like someone got tickled with a feather at all sensitive spots, mixed with mouth spasm and whatever else. Turned out our dessert was pepsi + greentea + sago + shit + saliva from the person laughing. Staple was hor fun which was more like soft and chewy paper. Meat was a small chicken meat in the curry soup. The soup is most imba. Drink 1 sip and u will cough le. When it gets to the tongue it isnt so bad, but when it gets to the throat you will feel like you are on fire. I drank like at most 1 spoon of it. The dessert wasnt exactly that bad la, i drank quite a bit of it until i was full. Then somehow KF's wok burst into flame, and norris the fireman tried to extinguish it with water. Then sarun came along and said his words of wisdom, "Cover it with another wok" and when norris did so, the fire was gone within seconds. This is a good example of why you should remember primary school science.

******Next part is not for the faint hearted or for people who can visualise very well. Proceed with caution...******
As usual after eating was washup. This time it wasnt exactly nice. At first the problem was quite small, just a lot of shit in the big dustbin that was only meant for tied up garbage bags. When i say shit, I mean a mixture of chicken with gravy (owl) and barley seeds (kf) along with many other random stuff like broken plate, tissue paper etc. You get the idea. So we were to clean this up, which meant digging up all the shit in it. And the dustbin was one of those big ones, where you cant just stick ur hand in and grab all the shit out, as if that wasnt bad enough. So at first the PLs took out all the other tied up garbage bags so it was easier to clean, and taking out all those revealed more shit. -.-" Then i did the dirty job of digging out all the shit with my hands and throwing them into an empty garbage bag. Imagine this. Putting your hand into the rubbish, feel a lot of moisture even though u put ur hand in plastic bag, hear a lot of squishy sound when you tighten your grip. oh ya, and also the smell of rotton food from 2 days ago. Sweeeeet. Dugged out quite a bit, and couldnt really reach the bottom. So anurak volunteered to continue the dirty job. He took the plastic bags from me, wrapped his hands, and literally threw himself into the dustbin. Ok la not so extreme i was exaggerating, but it was something like that. He just jumped up, leaned on his stomach against the side of the dustbin, stuck his whole upper body in, dig up some shit, and get back out. Every time he went in it looked as though he was just going to totally fall in and if he did i swear i will never ever go near him again. Eventually most of the shit got taken out, and then the big dustbin was sent to wash. Remember, this was just the small problem.
So we went back to the sink and found out that 2 smart alecs from owl patrol though they were doing us a favour by throwing their bee hoon all over the sink. So not surprisingly the sink got stuck, like when you throw benhong into the bathtub. Yup, as stuck as that. And to add to that, the small dustbin was filled with quite a bit of water and tons of leftover food. If one were to try and lift up the garbage bag it will just stretch and you cant lift it at all without breaking the whole bag. So this is the worse part. Using my BARE hands, i stuck them into the dustbin and immediately felt that it was dam warm. I have a feeling it is decomposing or something. I dug up the shit and threw it into another garbage bag, The beehoon was the bulk of it la, and sometimes there were some stuff that felt sharp. It was easily one of the sickest and most disgusting thing I have ever done, even more sick than drinking my own urine when I was young. just joking, i bet you fell for that.

AC, here i come

In about 8 more hours, AC will be startin at farrer park primary school. And for the next 5 days, I will be at farrer park pri sch, enduring the hot sun and the randoming clothes that drop from hdb flats around due to the strong winds. Sounds fun doesn't it? This year i just hope we wont get last again, like we have been for the past 2 years. Quite sian to always see owl at the top and falcon at the bottom, so this year its going to change, i hope. Another wish is for our patrol to have full attendance, and from what the sec 2s have shown so far, i think that it's highly possibe for us to achieve this. We would then have 11 people, more than any other patrols and it would certainly help us for the pioneering part.

Day zero was really dammm sian. Went to braddel westlake at 9am and loaded the poles onto the lorry. The uncle was the same guy for the past few years and apparently this year he upgraded his lorry so that it had a lift at the back which was suuuuuuper doooooper cool. When we wanted to get back to RI, we all stood on the lift and then it just lifted 15 of us as if we were as light as a feather. Imba. And the strength of the lift was matched by the strength of the uncle. What would normally take 3 scouts to do only took 1 of him, and he closed the gate of the pole shed easily. And after moving it he said that it was so simple. -.-" suanner

Then went back to den to shift the logistics onto the lorry. As we had too many stuff we needed to carry quite a bit, like the tekos and the tents. Then we took 56 to farrer park pri sch and in the process we caused the passengers to all hold their breathe cos we were all too smelly le. All the sweat + shit from the pole shed + frog and lizard poo on the pole and whatever other sai there are at braddel.

At fpps, we didnt have to unload anything as norris jj and the uncle had already done so by the time we reached. Hence we straightaway went for lunch at tekka wet market and i ate quite a lot, but didnt pay a lot. =) what i like best. Went back to school and moved the poles to the field, only to realize that it was going to rain anytime. So we arranged all the poles in height order and covered them with our kitchen tent. About half an hour later the sky cleared and we tied the flagstaff and also split the poles -evenly- amongst the 6 patrols. Falcon was quite lucky as our camp area was right next to where the poles were so didnt have to walk much and had time to arrange our poles neatly, also due to the fact that we had 3 sec 3s while the others only had 2. Thanks jack! After that just cleaned up a bit then dismissed le

Dont expect a post in the next 5 days. Or 6 for that matter cos the whole day ill be sleeping. Week 1 is gone...and i cant use the iphone.

ac prep continues

somehow i cant get a custom layout apparently theres some error with the coding although i dont see any. ill get a way around this somehow, just wait for it.

today is the last day of term 2 and semester 1, which means half a year has passed. The year passes so fast and I don't even realise it, still remember the days as a junior in RI where life was carefree. its going to get worse from now on i guess oh well. somehow i dont really look forward to the last day as week 1 of hols going to be very busy. actually not even week 1, weekends also very busy. prep tomorrow, ac day 0 on sunday, ac monday to friday. and this week had prep every day tuesday to friday, with prep last saturday after open house. prep here prep there prep everywhere. we should all be pretty prep-ed by now yet i feel much less prepared and that something is going to go wrong somewhere.

tomorrow going to lala a bit, jogging at 6am with francis =) first time experience jogging around school before the sun rises, and hopefully it will be fun. then after that going to saw the 7x3m tekos i have for gadget then go home and sleep. francis has 10x3m and sup has...20. quite crazy la he dunno what he was thinking when he bought 20 at nutc and ended up looking quite retarded carrying 10, the other 10 with joel. not to say i didnt look like an idiot too. today, compared to the other preps, was more productive and we managed to finish sawing tekos for the dresser. used a flexible saw as sarun was *unpredictable* and decided to let my survival kit breathe a bit. its easy to saw the first part of the teko, but sawing the whole things was quite crazy and took quite a bit of effort. but at least its much more convenient than using the saw from the den ba.

holidays going to be pretty sian. first week gone, second week play, third week magically disappears and fourth week is for chionging projects and homework. always the same la, except the homework part usually gets delayed until the weekends of the last week of holidays. hopefully i can get my lazy ass to do some work like right after ac so wont so stressed out on the last week and start angsting everyone the moment i come back to school. anyway im looking forward to class gathering with all the relief teachers coming back. school going to get boring without them and the lame/retarded/gl things they do everyday that makes our life more colourful.

and ss project is due a few hours later. how nice

Hi world

Yup yup, new blog. This time im lazy with my own layout and its partly against my own will to get this blog up asap cos someone was rushing me =( anyway this blog will be mainly about scouts and school cos apart from that, theres really nothing much to my life im dam boring. sometimes i wonder why blogs are called blogs -.-" i mean plogs are like patrol logs, so what are blogs? big logs? web log should really just be wlog, as retarded as it may sound but who cares its easier for people to identify it when saying wlog, although i dont really think anyone can really say wlog.

aiya ok that was quite random just something i thought of. this blog might be boring to most, interesting to others who are related/relevant to the events that i post in this blog. hopefully you fall into the latter, if not this blog will be quite boring la. the most appealing reason for setting up this wlog would be to record down stuff that happens during acts for ease of plogs and stuff like nyaa. argh nyaa dont remind me currently got enough stuff bugging me and now still got nyaa, in which less than half of our batch replied to my email which i sent out ages ago. and even though its about half a year since we started we haven't.even.finished.our.physical.recreation. crap. and then theres also skills which we havent even thought of what to do. cool isn't it X_X

anyway ac coming up soon, 4 more days to be precise. im currently feeling quite screwed la esp the banners. seeing all other patrols have like 3 well painted banners and i see mine 2 screwed up banners which arent even completed. ok eagle also has 2 banners but at least theirs much better than mine. the boards i would say quite average. all 3 are pretty plain but at least we decorated them. but one look at kf and its outright suan. its like the corner next to the den where kf paints is seriously tooooo suan. everything planned until super nice, with the godly supervision and management of alvin, and the heavenly drawings from zhongjun. Perfect combo and to add on to it, dam enthu people as manpower. But falcon also quite enthu la, so i shouldnt complain that much. ill be positive and wont rant so much on the first post of this blog :)

cant wait until ac is over then its 3 weeks of lalaland. every day will be a repeat of the previous day: wake up, play, eat, try to do homework but fail, and the cycle continues for 3 weeks until i finally have to do my homework or someone forces me to. Come to think of it holidays actually quite sian for me. Every day do the same stuff, only thing to really look forward to are the weekends of the hols when my dad is free to take us out and buy some stuff that i want or just look and admire...cant wait till he gets back from states (maybe with some goodies for me!)

tomorrow going to be another sian day. 4 hour of lessons, then 23672 hours of ac prep with 23671 hours of it screwing around and not actually doing anything productive. hope it goes better than expected.
